We see a relevant local church with a global influence.

To build a generation of stars that is pleasing to God and respected by people.

  • Spirit-led

We believe a Spirit-led person lives with purpose and possesses wisdom, common sense and creativity.

We bring glory to God by not being ordinary, but extraordinary.

We believe the Message is always the same, but the methods can change.

We put others first before ourselves.

We outwardly demonstrate and express our respect and esteem towards God and others.

    • We believe in God the Father Almighty, creator and ruler of heaven and earth,

who has eternally existed as one God in three distinct, but co-equal, persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

    • We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day He rose from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there He shall come to judge the alive and the dead.

    • We believe in the Holy Spirit,

who is indwelt in all of us who accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, to reveal the truth to us, to help us understand the truth, to endow us with the power to live according to the truth, and to enable us to use spiritual gifts to be a witness of the truth to the world.

    • We believe in the Word of God,

that the Old and New Testaments are holy Scriptures written by human authors inspired by the Spirit of God, and are therefore the truth without error as originally given, and is a complete and sufficient revelation of His will for salvation and conduct.

    • We believe that People are created in God’s image,

and made for fellowship with Him, but every person has fallen short of His glory through sinful disobedience toward God. Thus, we are separated from God and in need of salvation to restore a right relationship with Him.

    • We believe in Salvation by Grace through Faith in Christ Jesus alone,

not by human efforts. The offer of the death and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient propitiation for our sin is freely given by God, but we must personally accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of our lives.

    • We believe in the Eternal Destination of Mankind,

who will either be eternally separated from God by sin, which is hell, or to be secured eternally in union with God through forgiveness of sins and salvation in Christ, which is the New Heaven & New Earth. Both are real places of eternal existence.

    • We believe in the Holy Universal Church,

which is the living body of Christ, united under Jesus’ headship. The body of Christ consists of all who have placed their faith in Christ.

    • We believe in the Role of the Local Church,

to provide communities for discipling its members to live out the Great Commandment and carry out the Great Commission.

    • We believe that Baptism is a Symbol of the Death, Burial, and the Resurrection of Christ,

and is a public confession of personal repentance from the old life and embracing the new life in Christ. We believe in full-immersion water baptism, which is a step of obedience for those who are of the age of accountability.

    • We believe in the Holy Communion,

or the Lord’s Supper, as an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ in remembrance of His sacrifice for us and the symbol of the new covenant, that is our fellowship with His body and blood.

    • We believe in the Monogamous Marriage between Male and Female,

as God created it to be the sacred union of two, as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of society. Therefore, the marriages performed, and all its considerations, will be in accordance with the Scriptures.

    • We believe in Unity in the Essential beliefs; Liberty in the Non-Essential beliefs; and Charity (love) in all things.

Jakarta Praise Community Church started in 1996 as a small prayer meeting of 10 young people. On 4 July 1999, Jeffrey and Angela Rachmat together with Jose and Hanna Carol started Jakarta Praise Community Church.

The church gathered every Sunday at Menara Gracia, Kuningan, South Jakarta. On 9 September 2004, a bombing took place at the Australian embassy which was located next to Menara Gracia. This incident forced JPCC to move to Senayan Trade Center, at the same time an opportunity for growth with a bigger venue.

In October 2005, JPCC services started a few services in UpperRoom Jakarta, Central Jakarta. As the church continued to grow in size, JPCC started new services in May of 2013 at The Kasablanka, Kota Kasablanka Mall, South Jakarta. Today, JPCC services are available at both The Kasablanka and at UpperRoom Jakarta.

JPCC is a contemporary Christian church under the synod of Jemaat Kristen Indonesia (JKI) and is a part of Hillsong Family.
